Organic Farming Scheme (OFS)

The Organic farming Scheme was re-opened to farmers on the 19th November 2018. The aim of the scheme is to encourage producers to respond to the increasing demand for organics as well as improve environmental standards and animal welfare.

A ranking system is used to determine what producers enter the scheme with priority given to horticulture, tillage, full farm conversion as well as mixed farms.

OCAE provide advice and can carry out applications for the scheme.

The scheme is not currently open for applications.
