Single Payment Scheme
The Single Payment Scheme was introduced in 2005. It is calculated using the average number of animals (hectares in the case of Arable Aid Schemes), on which payment was made under each scheme in the reference years multiplied by the 2002 payment rate for that scheme. Under the Single Payment Scheme farmers are also required to keep their land in Good Agricultural and Environmental Condition (GAEC) and comply to the requirements set out under this.
OCAE Consultants Limited provide specialist advice to farmers in regards to the environmental aspects of the SPS. OCAE Consultants Limited also submit Single Payment Scheme applications on behalf of farmer.
