Agronomy Services

Agronomy is the study of crops and the soil they are grown in with emphasis on enhancing soil health to increase crop yields and production.

OCAE consultants provide specialist agronomy and husbandry advice for farmers, industry through IPPC licensing and regulatory authorities, on maximising the potential for land application of organic fertilizers.  OCAE consultants provide impartial and independent advice to the progressive grower requiring individual guidance for his farm. This entails regular and routine crop inspection, and guidance based on in-the-field observations.  In addition, longer-term strategies can be formulated to keep the farm business competitive and profitable. The benefits will be seen in improved gross margins and the confidence that the farm’s agronomy is in safe hands.

This division also provides advice based on trial work carried out at OCAE Research Farm, on all areas of soil and arable management and has in-depth experience of conducting trials in all areas agronomy including soil management, plant nutrition, chemical evaluation, seed dressings, varieties, environmental impact and biodiversity.
